Rituals

Of course the most well known ritual during the Wedding Ceremony is the exchange of rings! You can add others too. A ritual has whatever meaning you give, it and can be anything you want.

A ritual is easier to remember than words or ideas. Years later you can remember the action and in turn be reminded what your marriage stands for.

We are very good at giving the ritual meaning so that everyone appreciates it.

Some example rituals

YOUR LOVE WILL GROW
Pour a water over a plant or onto the earth. (Later, you can then plant the plant somewhere special).

DRINK FROM LIFE TOGETHER
Drink together from a goblet, of wine, water or other liquid of your choice.

PLANT YOUR INTENTIONS
Prepare a piece of paper with a few words and either burn the paper or bury it.

SAYING THANKS TO THE UNIVERSE
Make a small offering or fruit or flowers to the local Ibiza Goddess Tanit (obviously the Ceremony needs to be in Ibiza for this one).

YOUR LOVE FEEDS EACH OTHER
Feed each other a couple of grapes.

PUT YOUR LOVE IN WRITING
Sign a marriage certificate (we have one available for a small fee).

Ibiza has its own energy that is bound to inspire you. Just being surrounded by the sun and nature of Ibiza might be enough of a ritual for your Wedding Ceremony. Many people are satisfied with the wedding ritual of standing besides an ancient olive tree or barefoot on a hillside with the pine trees and sparkling sea below. Whatever your inspiration we are happy, and honoured, to be the Wedding Officiators at your special Ibiza Wedding.
